It’s a spooky day
Sure to give a fright
Wailing, screaming gasping ghosts
When the monsters play
In the dead of night
And the ugly witches boast
When the red leaves sway
And the werewolf’s fight
The zombies raise their toast
Near the sea of the beautiful bay
Under the starry lights
Sing the sirens by the coast
In count Dracula’s mansion, statues made from clay
In their goblets you’ll find a bloody delight
Where it came from is certainly inmost
And the banshees howl like they’re on replay
It’s a great but nightmarish sight
But the beasts are still waiting for your riposte
Yet still this Halloween while on my couch I lay
I pick up my laptop and write
Because this Halloween has been the best by far, and in my poem, I’m still engrossed
